The Factory runs year-round programming across four strands: studio residencies for visual and interdisciplinary artists, a rolling calendar of hands-on workshops, a resident performance company, and free community nights open to the whole neighborhood.
Residencies range from three months to a full year and come with studio space, a materials stipend, and access to our print, ceramics, and darkroom shops. Applications open several times a year — see the residency page for current rounds.
Our workshops are taught by residents and visiting makers and are designed for every level, from a first letterpress pull to advanced darkroom technique. Most run as single sessions so you can drop in around your own schedule.
